Türkiye’s pickle exports brought in $301.675 million from January through September 2026, according to figures from the Aegean Exporters’ Associations reported by Anadolu Agency on 25 October. Shipments totaled 197,692 tonnes and reached 121 countries. The nine-month revenue was slightly above the $300.973 million reported for the same period of 2025.

The product mix was concentrated in two categories. Pickled peppers generated $129.551 million and pickled cucumbers and gherkins $129.087 million. Together, the two categories represented about 86% of the total. The article’s figures show the sector exporting processed products rather than only fresh vegetables, linking farm output with preserving, packaging and overseas distribution.

Germany was the largest named destination, with $56 million in reported purchases. The United States followed at $32.724 million, the Netherlands at $29.118 million, the United Kingdom at $27.379 million and Spain at $13.095 million. The report also noted increased shipments to Russia, France and Bulgaria, without giving amounts for those markets.

Hayrettin Uçak, head of the sector council for Turkish fruit and vegetable products exporters, told AA that the industry wants to strengthen established markets and enter new ones. He cited product variety, adapting offerings to different consumption habits and branded exports as priorities. Those are industry aims, not government commitments or contracted sales.

Aegean exporters’ association board member Muhammed Elçiboğa said the Aegean region accounted for 75% of pickle exports in the period, and set a $500 million year-end export target. The target is an industry forecast; the nine-month figure is the reported result. Reaching it would require substantially higher fourth-quarter sales than the average pace so far, though the article gives no monthly seasonality series to quantify that gap.

The source describes Türkiye as having ranked among the world’s largest pickle producers and says the product has gained uses in fast-food chains and European Union markets. These are comments by an exporter representative, not an independent global production ranking or a measurement of retail consumption. The report does not provide export prices, margins, producer counts or a breakdown between domestic and imported input costs.
