Intermedia announced on 15 October an expansion of its communications offering for healthcare providers. The company is combining voice, SMS, collaboration, contact-center and telehealth tools in Intermedia Unite with intelligent appointment scheduling, digital forms, insurance verification, patient payments and automated engagement workflows.
The announcement says the system connects to 15 electronic health record and practice-management systems. Intermedia says it serves about 15,000 healthcare accounts. Expected gains in patient access and administrative workload are company aims; no independent impact or clinical-outcome measurements were provided.
