On 1 September 2026 the Government of Ontario announced that Infrastructure Partners of Ontario, a joint venture of Miller Paving, GIP and Amico, has been awarded the construction manager contract for the Highway 410 Extension. The 9.1-kilometre extension from Highway 410 to Highway 413 is part of the Highway 413 central contract and will connect motorists to Highway 407 ETR, Highway 401 and Highway 403.

The province said the detail design for the central contract went to a joint venture of Parsons Inc. and Egis Canada Ltd. in June 2026, and program management for Highway 413 went to 413 Continuity Partners, a joint venture of Aecom and WSP, in July 2026. Highway 413 is planned to have 11 interchanges at municipal roads across the Greater Toronto Area and to accommodate up to 300,000 vehicles a day, with travel times cut by as much as 30 minutes per trip compared with existing roads.

In the same release Ontario issued a notice of procurement to design and build the east section of Highway 413 and the Highway 427 Extension, about one third of the corridor, with a request for proposals due in fall 2026. The release did not state a value for the construction manager contract.

Methodology

The 9.1 kilometres is the planned length of the Highway 410 Extension, the section covered by the construction manager contract. The interchange count, vehicle capacity and travel-time saving describe the whole planned Highway 413, not the extension alone: the 300,000 vehicles a day is a maximum capacity, and the 30 minutes is the largest per-trip saving the province expects compared with existing roads. The release does not state a contract value.
