An ILO report published on October 9 says 25 entrepreneurship trainers, experts and curriculum developers from TESDA Region 2 in the Philippines worked to adapt AI for Digital Novice MSMEs (AI4MSME) content for technical and vocational education. The group included participants from Cagayan, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya.
The approach was piloted with Cookery NC II and Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II trainees in July and August 2026. Cookery learners used AI to develop menus, estimate ingredient costs and prepare social-media posts, while electrical trainees drafted client proposals and worked out prices. The report says some trainees began selling homemade food or offering small catering services, but gives no measured income effect.
