Jordan vocational training year opens with 5,134 trainees

Jordan’s Vocational Training Corporation enrolled 5,134 new trainees in the second cycle of the 2026–2027 training year across 34 institutes and centres of excellence. It reported receiving 13,255 applications.

Women accounted for 41% of enrolment. The corporation reported female shares of 73% in the south, 46% in the north and 35% in the central region; Amman had the most trainees, at 1,223.

Popular programmes included women’s hairdressing, men’s hairdressing and data entry. The corporation said it is updating programmes and aligning training more closely with employer needs.
