Jordan’s Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Azmi Mahafzah, presided over the launch of the 2026–2030 National School Nutrition Strategy on October 11. Petra reported that the event included the World Food Programme’s country representative, the Royal Health Awareness Society, the food-security council and representatives of national institutions.

The ministry presented the strategy as the result of partnership around Jordan’s national school-nutrition programme. The World Food Programme said it would continue technical support, capacity development and knowledge exchange, while providing transition support as national systems are developed. The launch establishes a policy framework; it does not demonstrate nutrition or student-health outcomes during 2026–2030.
