World Bank: Internet data use diverges by income group
The World Bank’s 2025 digital progress report says internet penetration in lower-middle-income countries reached 68% in 2024, up from 64% in 2022.

The report finds large gaps in data use and quality despite expanding access. Income-group averages do not describe differences among users within each country.
