Ömer Bolat and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer discussed raising bilateral trade to $50 billion by the end of 2028 during the G20 meetings. The ministry highlighted cooperation in energy, defence and the digital economy.

The statement’s $42–43 billion figure for 2026 was presented as an expectation. With the year unfinished, this is not a final annual trade result or a signed new investment commitment.
