Türkiye and UK discuss expanding their trade agreement

The Milwaukee meeting covered fifth-round negotiations and the trade target.

The Trade Ministry said Ömer Bolat and UK Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds discussed broadening the free trade agreement. Its statement said the fifth negotiation round was taking place that week.

The ministry reported bilateral trade of $24 billion in 2025 and reiterated a $40 billion target. The latter is a goal; the statement did not announce completed negotiations or an expanded agreement entering into force.

Qatar launches Doha Investment platform for its domestic portfolio
