Türkiye raises Made in EU proposal during Brussels talks

The ministry discussed potential implications for automotive trade and the Customs Union.

Ömer Bolat’s Brussels meetings addressed the Made in EU approach in the proposed EU Industrial Accelerator Act. The ministry raised concerns about restrictive automotive annexes and compatibility with Türkiye’s Customs Union relationship.

The statement describes discussions over a legislative proposal, rather than final rules already in force. It also outlined plans to hold the third High-Level Trade Dialogue meeting on 13 October.
