Statistics Indonesia’s Southeast Sulawesi office released its 2025 horticulture production statistics on October 2. The final annual table shows shallot harvested area dropping from 232 hectares in 2024 to 117 hectares in 2025, while output fell from 7,821 quintals to 3,970 quintals.

Both measures were roughly halved in the year-on-year comparison, which uses the publication’s annual totals. BPS says the figures draw on SPH reports collected by local agriculture and horticulture offices and processed by local statistical offices. The publication gives a provincial total but does not explain the decline or identify which regencies drove it.
