IllustrationStatistics Indonesia’s August 2026 area-sample survey put harvested shelled-corn area at 0.29 million hectares, up 23.60% from August 2025. Dry shelled-corn production, standardized to 14% moisture, was estimated at 1.74 million tonnes, a 24.81% annual increase.
BPS said the current-year series is provisional and estimated potential September–November harvest area at 0.54 million hectares, with potential output of 3.49 million tonnes at the same moisture standard. The forward figures are based on observed crop-growth phases and are projections; they are not completed harvest or guaranteed production.

Methodology
BPS uses an Area Sample Frame survey for corn area, crop-cutting surveys for productivity, and the 2020 corn conversion survey for output standardized to 14% moisture. The release marks 2026 figures provisional and future values potential.
