France’s transmission operator RTE, Chambres d’agriculture France and the FNSEA signed a national support framework on 12 October for farms affected by new high-voltage lines. It covers overhead-line projects at 400 kV and 225 kV.
RTE said project-support plans will provide €1,000 a year per equivalent pylon for new 400 kV lines and €375 for 225 kV lines. Payments are scheduled for 80 years from the line’s commissioning. These are framework rates, not the total amount any one farm will receive.
