American Resources and ReElement said on 21 October they had signed a new agreement with UzTMK and Uzbekistan’s Fund for Reconstruction and Development to advance tungsten processing and refining cooperation. It was signed in Samarkand on 19 October and moves beyond the parties’ November 2025 memorandum of understanding.
The parties agreed to a commercial demonstration program using Uzbek-sourced tungsten at ReElement’s US facilities and preliminary engineering and economic modelling for potential refining operations in Uzbekistan. The company said earlier technical work had validated processing the material into high-purity oxide. The announcement does not say a plant in Uzbekistan has been built or entered operation.
