Maxus Mining said on October 13 it had completed helicopter-borne electromagnetic and magnetic surveys across six blocks at its Alturas, Hurley, Quarry and Lotto projects in British Columbia. The program was designed for about 1,446 line-kilometres and included three antimony projects and the Lotto tungsten project.
The company said final data processing was underway and that it planned to combine the results with geological, geochemical and historical information to refine exploration targets. The release described a preliminary Alturas West interpretation from earlier survey data, but cautioned that modelled conductors are simplified, unconfirmed responses. Geophysics alone does not establish mineralization, grade or continuity.
