Allegiance Resources said on October 16 that it had begun an initial three-day field program at its wholly owned Golden Scheelite tungsten project in Nevada. The company said the project comprises 17 mining claims covering about 347 acres, and that work would include geological mapping, rock sampling, ultraviolet scheelite prospecting and reconnaissance.
The program is intended to investigate whether tungsten-bearing skarn extends beyond historical workings. The company has not reported new assay results; samples are to be sent to an independent laboratory. The release cautions that production and sample figures from the 1950s are unverified and do not establish a current resource or reserve.
