Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health reported on October 11 that it had held a pilot foundation course under the National Training Plan on Public Health Emergency Management. The course covered preparedness and response, emergency operations, coordination across sectors, risk assessment, national and international frameworks, and risk communication and community engagement.

Health Emergency Department Director Soha Al Bayat said the course followed a multisectoral training-needs assessment in 2024 and a national-plan development workshop in 2025. Lessons from the pilot are intended to help refine and formally endorse the curriculum before a wider national rollout; the pilot itself does not mean that the broader programme has been completed.
