Puebla’s government said its infrastructure department had completed paving 3.12 kilometres of the Achichipico–San Miguel road in Teotlalco, connecting the Mixteca region with Morelos and the Siglo XXI highway. The release was published on October 11 but did not give the date the work was completed or say that the road had formally opened to traffic.

The state said the road work is expected to reduce travel between Morelos and the state capital from two and a half hours to one and a half hours, and could support trade and tourism. Those times are government projections; the release provides no measurement method or post-opening travel data. The reported completion concerns the paved segment, not the entire route or a verified change in regional economic activity.
