Labour productivity in the Dutch commercial sector increased 2.5% in 2025 from a year earlier, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) said, citing newly released provisional figures. The measure had fallen 0.4% in 2024. CBS said gains were particularly visible in manufacturing and retail.

Gross value added in the commercial sector rose 1.7%, while total hours worked fell 0.8%. Productivity is value added per hour worked; the annual figure does not by itself measure household income or productivity at every individual firm.
