IllustrationINEGI’s October 1 bulletin on business trend indicators put the Global Business Opinion Trend Indicator (IGOET) at 50.6 points in September 2026. The seasonally adjusted series fell 1.5 points from August and 0.2 point from a year earlier. It nevertheless remained above the 50-point threshold for a seventh consecutive month.
The separate manufacturing trend composite fell to 48.5 points, down 4.3 points from August and below the threshold. IGOET combines managers’ views in manufacturing, construction, trade and private non-financial services using sector weights. The survey indicator tracks business managers’ short-term perceptions; it is not a measure of realised output or growth.
