Nakheel, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, announced on 17 September 2026 that it has awarded Metac General Contracting Co a main construction contract worth more than AED 800 million. The contract covers Phases 1 and 3 of Bay Grove Residences on Dubai Islands.

The scope is 537 one- to four-bedroom homes in seven residential buildings: Phase 1 has 296 homes in four buildings and Phase 3 has 241 homes in three. It also includes basement works, associated infrastructure and resident amenities such as swimming pools, play courts and a fitness centre. Nakheel said the main construction works are anticipated to be completed in late 2028.

Once complete, the wider Bay Grove Residences community will have 1,154 homes in 15 residential buildings, Nakheel said. It said plans for the remaining 617 homes in Phases 2 and 4 are progressing, with further construction appointments to be announced.
