The local Chamber of Agriculture in Tenenkou validated a five-year action plan for 2027–31 on 30 September, the Malian Press and Publicity Agency (AMAP) reported the next day. The three-day workshop, organised with support from the International Rescue Committee, brought together about 40 participants, including chamber delegates, technical services and farmer-organisation leaders.

Participants assessed agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries conditions, diagnosed sector challenges and defined strategic priorities for the circle. The plan is intended to guide the chamber’s interventions, including productivity, farm modernisation and climate adaptation.

AMAP reported no budget for the plan or funding commitment. Chamber president Hamboye Diall said the organisation would work to incorporate rural actors’ needs, while the prefect’s deputy described the document as a basis for future interventions.
