The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Agency for Major Works (ACGT) said construction is continuing on Kinshasa’s southeast and southwest ring roads and that the roads have not yet opened to traffic. ACP reported the agency’s October 9 communiqué; ACGT is the delegated project owner for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works.

For safety and to allow construction to proceed, ACGT prohibited motor vehicles that are not authorized or registered for the worksite from entering. The communiqué gave no completion date, road length or budget. It does not indicate that the project is finished or the roads are in service.
