Democratic Republic of the Congo President Félix Tshisekedi received a delegation from the Republic of the Congo, led by Jean-Jacques Bouya, on 10 October. The presidency said the discussion focused on progress and the implementation timetable for a planned road-rail bridge linking Kinshasa and Brazzaville.

DR Congo Public Works and Infrastructure Minister John Banza Lunda said the sides had set a timetable to launch construction works in June 2027. That is a planned start date; the statement did not say construction had begun. It gave no completion date or financing details.
