Kinshasa Governor Daniel Bumba presented results of the “Kinshasa Ezo Bonga” programme to the provincial assembly as lawmakers opened a session focused on the next city budget and accounts for the previous fiscal year. He reported more than 160 kilometres of roads delivered and over 600 kilometres under construction.

Bumba also said a restructuring of the city’s former revenue directorate created two specialized agencies, while construction was under way on more than 400 temporary waste drop-off areas ahead of transport to Mpasa. He said the capital generates nearly 20,000 tonnes of waste daily. These are figures presented by the provincial executive; work in progress is not counted as completed.
