Fifteen Jordanian food manufacturers began exhibiting in a national pavilion at SIAL Paris on Saturday evening, 17 October, the Jordan News Agency reported the following day. The three-day pavilion, organized by the Jordan Exporters Association, is intended to introduce Jordanian products to distributors, retailers and importers and support commercial contacts.

The association said participating firms brought confectionery, halva, tahini and sesame products, dates, canned foods and fish, spices, legumes, coffee and other food ingredients. Its officials described trade-fair participation as a route to potential contacts and future export deals; Petra's report does not say that the event produced signed contracts or quantify sales.
