Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply said 280 micro and small industrial enterprises passed administrative and financial checks for its Entrepreneurship in Industry programme. A three-day course will help them prepare development plans, followed by five weeks of individual technical mentoring.

The ministry said it received 639 online applications in July and August. The first round plans 120 non-refundable grants for micro and small firms and 30 for medium-sized firms, so the 280 training qualifiers are not yet grant winners. Grants are set at JOD 25,000 to JOD 100,000 and would cover 70% to 80% of project costs; winners will be selected after technical reviews and site visits.
