Jordan rises to 60th in 2026 Global Innovation Index

Jordan ranked 60th among 139 economies in the 2026 Global Innovation Index and fifth in the Arab world. A ministry statement reported by Petra said the country rose five places from the previous year.

According to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship statement, Jordan moved from 65th in 2025 to 60th in 2026; it ranked 73rd in 2024 and 86th in 2019. The index is published by the World Intellectual Property Organization and covers 139 economies.

Jordan was also reported fifth in the Arab world and first globally on the scientific and technical articles indicator. The statement said the 2026 position surpassed the Economic Modernization Vision target of 63rd by seven years. These are index rankings and indicators as reported by the ministry.

Jordan minister reports Arab Bridge Maritime profit above $40 million through September
