French organic soft-wheat collection rose 47% in 2025/26
A FranceAgriMer report published on October 14 said national collection of organic soft wheat reached 299,350 tonnes in the 2025/26 campaign, up 47% from the previous campaign. The agency marked the collection figures as provisional as of September 1, 2026.

A FranceAgriMer report published on October 14 said national collection of organic soft wheat reached 299,350 tonnes in the 2025/26 campaign, up 47% from the previous campaign. The agency marked the collection figures as provisional as of September 1, 2026. The quality survey measured average harvest moisture at 11.2%; 99% of the collected crop had a Hagberg falling number above 220 seconds. FranceAgriMer linked the dry weather to early harvesting and low moisture.
The report also put protein content at 11.1%, near its five-year average, and the mean breadmaking score at 262 out of 300.

Methodology
Quality percentages come from samples of the 2026 organic soft-wheat harvest at collection silos. The 2025/26 collection is the volume entering commercial channels. The collection amount is reported in tonnes; the source report describes its field and laboratory sampling methods. The quality survey was conducted by FranceAgriMer and ARVALIS using 83 samples from 57 collection silos.
