Energy Recovery said on October 8 that it had secured a contract to supply PX Q650 energy-recovery devices to a major new seawater reverse-osmosis desalination plant in Saudi Arabia. The company said the facility would rank among the world’s 10 largest plants when complete.

The release did not identify the plant operator or location and did not state the plant’s capacity or contract value. PX devices recover energy from the high-pressure reject stream in reverse-osmosis systems. Energy Recovery said the order follows other Q650 project contracts announced earlier in 2026.
