Acwa’s consortium with WTCO announced a technical-services agreement with Syria’s Energy Ministry and Fichtner. Studies will assess water resources and future demand.

Work aims to prioritize seawater desalination and associated transmission projects. Following the February development agreement, this is a technical-planning phase, rather than commissioning of new facilities.
