DEWA commissions 793 new 11 kV substations in the first half

DEWA reported on August 9, 2026 that 793 new 11 kV substations had entered service across Dubai during the first six months of the year. Construction and related work involved 624,340 person-hours.

The utility cited 47,723 medium-voltage substations in service and 53 facilities at 33 kV. The 793 figure counts new first-half 11 kV substations. It does not represent generating plants or new generation capacity measured in megawatts.
