DABS and Azizi Energy sign contracts for 845 MW in Afghanistan

Five projects combine solar and coal-fired generation.

A February 11 release reports DABS and Azizi Energy signing implementation-start contracts for five projects targeting 845 MW: 330 MW solar and 515 MW coal-fired capacity.

Approximately USD 463 million investment is planned. Announced completion targets are two years for solar and three for coal. Capacities represent planned generation rather than an existing operating fleet.
