The federal and New Brunswick governments announced more than C$7.1 million for two municipal infrastructure projects. In Beaurivage, water, sanitary sewer and stormwater extensions will support a new residential development that could enable up to 150 homes, including 20 affordable units.

In Grand-Bouctouche, the project will resurface or add 720 metres of sidewalks on three streets and install three speed bumps and signs near a school zone. The release says the work is intended to improve pedestrian safety, including for students and people with limited mobility. Federal, provincial and municipal contributions fund the Beaurivage work; the active-transportation project has federal and municipal funding.
