A further C$50 million in federal funding will support a STATCOM project at Salisbury Terminal. Mactaquac is a 672-megawatt hydroelectric station; the Salisbury investment is intended to strengthen grid stability in southern New Brunswick and support renewable integration. The announced amounts fund project work and do not mean construction is complete or new capacity is already operating.
