Brazil’s insurance regulator Susep reported on 2 October that Resolution 99 had been published on 1 October, replacing its 2020 anti-money-laundering circular. The rules explicitly extend coverage to insurance cooperatives, mutual property protection administrators and client-order processing companies.

The resolution takes effect on 1 January 2027 and introduces due diligence differentiated by risk. Susep also reported a separate internal instruction for confidential review and referral of suspicious activity to Coaf; that instruction takes effect upon publication.
