Brazil’s National Mining Agency (ANM) said on 15 October that it distributed more than R$465 million in Financial Compensation for Mineral Exploration (CFEM) royalties collected in September. States and the Federal District received more than R$93 million, while municipalities received more than R$372 million, according to the agency’s breakdown.
It was the second CFEM distribution processed through the Mineral Resources Management Platform, introduced in July. ANM said the platform handled 99.62% of September’s total collections. CFEM is a public royalty tied to mineral extraction; the announced amounts refer to September revenue distributed in October.
