Ceará’s Secretariat for Agrarian Development delivered a refrigerated truck and a small motorbike to the Paraipaba Women Farmers Association on October 9. The secretariat said the vehicles are part of support through the São José Project to strengthen family-farm food production, logistics and sales.

The announced total investment for the association exceeds 2 million reais; that amount is not the cost of the two vehicles alone. The programme also includes construction of a production and sales centre, a deep well, a solar-power system, equipment and agricultural inputs. The secretariat describes the facility work as part of the ongoing programme, not as a completed centre.
