American Pacific Mining said on October 6 that it had engaged Colog to conduct downhole structural and geophysical surveys in hole M26C-02 at the Madison copper-gold project in Montana. The work is intended to better define the orientation and geological controls of mineralization reported in September.

The program includes acoustic and optical televiewer imaging; the company may also add resistivity and conductivity measurements. Results are intended to guide planned step-out holes toward the west-southwest. The previously reported 30.8-metre intersection is a downhole length, and its true width has not been determined.
