Scorpio Gold released assays from eight holes in its Phase Two drilling program at the Manhattan district in Nevada. Hole 26MN-124 at Goldwedge returned 2.94 g/t gold over 36.42 metres from 169.62 metres down-hole, including 19.33 g/t over 4.27 metres from 188.36 metres. At West Pit, hole 26MN-125 returned 24.85 g/t gold over 1.22 metres from 150.88 metres.

The company said it had drilled 122 holes for 35,844 metres in Phase Two; assays had been reported for 115 holes, with seven pending at the release date. The release states that available geological information is insufficient to estimate true widths for the reported intercepts. Scorpio also said it was assessing a possible underground restart at Goldwedge and planned sonic drilling to test the grade and tonnage of an old heap-leach pad, tailings pond and low-grade stockpile.
