Lux Metals reported the first assays from its La Grande Gold Project in Quebec on October 14. Hole LG26-241 returned 17.57 grams per tonne of gold across 19.5 metres of core from 220.5 metres downhole, including 39.08 g/t over 8 metres and a one-metre sample at 165 g/t. The company said the main interval lies more than 40 metres from a historical interval.
The result comes from drilling at Zone 32 after more than a decade without drilling there. The 19.5-metre core length is not the same as true width, which the company estimated at 75% of the intercept. Multi-element assays including copper and results from remaining holes are pending. Lux said the program is intended to inform a future resource estimate and test mineralization down-plunge and along strike.
