On October 13, Workday announced a “headless” access model for its Trusted Agent Platform. Compatible agents and applications can work with HR and finance data through Agent-Ready Tools and API connections without signing in and navigating the traditional Workday user interface. Workday said existing rules for permissions, visibility, actions, approvals and audit records apply to each request.

Workday says the platform applies the same permissions, approvals and audit trails to agents built by Workday, customers or partners. Google ADK support is working with design partners, while an agent context service is planned for later early-access releases; those timelines are company statements.
