According to Volvo Cars’ October 2 release, the company sold 141,609 cars worldwide in the third quarter of 2026, 10.7% fewer than in the same period a year earlier. Fully electric model sales rose 29% and accounted for 32% of quarterly sales.

The company cited weaker market conditions in China and a slower-than-expected recovery in the United States as factors weighing on total sales. Sales in Europe and the rest of the world were 90,548, up 2% year over year; that is a separate regional scope.
