A Bugiri district official told the Uganda Media Centre that about 35,000 households had received Parish Development Model funds for income-generating activities. Beneficiaries include poultry, piggery and horticulture enterprises, and the district said it had recovered UGX 10 million so far.

The same official said Bugiri’s 98 parishes each receive UGX 100 million annually under the programme, bringing the cumulative allocation to UGX 400 million per parish in its fourth year. The report describes recovered funds being recycled to other eligible recipients. These figures are attributed to a district official and field accounts, not an independent programme evaluation.
