A 19 September Emirates News Agency report described targets under the UAE’s drive to expand national products, including good agricultural practices and local sourcing. The UAE G.A.P. programme promotes the adoption of agricultural practice standards on farms.

The stated goals include certification for 80% of local farms and a 25% local share of agricultural and livestock products sourced by hotels and restaurants. These are targets, not achieved rates.
