TotalEnergies said on October 12 that it had signed an agreement with KKR to add three US solar assets with a combined capacity of 700 megawatts to their 50/50 renewable-energy joint venture. The assets are in Texas and Ohio. The company put the portfolio’s enterprise value at $1.2 billion and said the transaction would expand the venture, which currently has 1.4 gigawatts of renewable capacity.

The agreement is not a report that the assets have transferred or that the added capacity is operating. TotalEnergies expects completion in 2026, subject to customary conditions, and said the projects are expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2027. The announcement describes a signed transaction and an expected timeline; it does not establish that construction or commercial operation has already occurred.
