MAIRE announced on 28 September 2026 that Tecnimont USA Inc. has signed a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract with Argent LNG, LLC for Argent LNG’s planned LNG export facility at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. The facility is planned for a total capacity of 25 million tons per annum (MTPA). The signing follows a cooperation agreement announced on 21 January 2026 that defined Tecnimont’s role as engineering and technology integrated services provider.

The contract covers FEED engineering, development of key permitting documentation and technical support to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permitting process. Its scope includes project execution planning and documentation, schedule and cost estimation, safety and reliability studies, and integration of the facility’s key technology packages. MAIRE said the project is expected to roll over into the EPC phase after the FERC permitting process is finalized, the FEED is complete and Argent LNG takes a final investment decision.

This is a FEED contract, not an EPC award, and the release did not disclose its value. Argent LNG’s chairman and chief executive said first cargo is targeted for 2030.
