The company said most graduates would be based at locations including Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Perth. The intake includes the first full-time graduate at SSEN Transmission’s Orkney office, working on the planned Orkney Link connection to the Great Britain network.
The graduates come from fields including engineering, environmental sciences, project management and business. SSE said the intake would support its £29 billion transmission investment programme; the figure describes the programme and does not mean all 87 graduates will work in Scotland.
