The company said most of the rise in network investment came from transmission, where work was accelerating across 11 major projects. It attributed the expected increase in renewable output to more favourable weather and capacity growth, and said turbine installation at Dogger Bank B was more than halfway complete.

SSE reiterated adjusted earnings guidance of 168–193 pence per share for 2026/27. It expected half-year group capital investment of about £2.5 billion and adjusted net debt plus hybrid capital of about £11.5 billion. These are company expectations ahead of its 18 November half-year results, not reported final results, and the update covers SSE Group rather than Scotland alone.
