South Korea’s agriculture ministry and Korea Rural Community Corporation revised the Farmland Bank’s entrusted leasing system on 21 October. One signature will allow electronic submission of 7 types of documents; staff will inspect the property register directly, removing the applicant’s need to submit a separate paper copy.
Agricultural business registration changes needed after a lease contract can also be handled in the same application, removing a separate visit or phone call to another agency. First-time agricultural business registration still requires an application to the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service.
